This Valentine’s Day, it seems like Paul Skene’s schedule will largely influence how they spend the day together.
People caught up with Livvy Dunne at the Michael Rubin’s Fanatics Super Bowl Party last weekend, and chatted with her about her plans for the romantic holiday. Dunne revealed that Skenes is a “lover boy” who often surprises her. Still, she noted that their Valentine’s Day plans hadn’t been nailed down yet because of his demanding schedule.
While baseball season feels like it’s still months away, MLB players have already started reporting to spring training. Pitchers and catchers generally head down first, so Skenes was likely one of the first on his team to arrive in Bradenton, Florida, where the Pirates are based during the winter months. Dunne, who has homes in New York City and Jupiter, Florida, will likely need to travel to him to celebrate the holiday. She doesn’t seem to mind that, though, even musing that she might consider cooking for him.
How did the couple meet?
Livvy Dunne and Paul Skenes are an athletic power couple with a pretty lavish lifestyle, but their relationship started out pretty organically and modestly. The duo met as students at Louisiana State University, where he was a star pitcher, and she was a gymnast.
In several interviews, Dunne revealed she was interested in Skenes after spotting him looking mysterious on campus. They had some mutual friends, which led her to add him on social media. Skenes took it from there. They enjoyed a “chill” ice cream date as their first meeting. That ice cream date led to more dates before they became an official couple. They have been together ever since, rising to fame as a power couple and as individual star athletes. Skenes confirmed the relationship in August 2023.
