Hulk Hogan’s Daughter, Brooke, Will Get Nothing From His Estate
Brooke Oleksy has spent the last several years estranged from her famous parents, Hulk Hogan and Linda Hogan. The sudden death of her father has brought to light just how deep that estrangement went. While Olesky has openly grieved Hulk Hogan’s sudden death, reports suggest she took steps to separate herself from his estate years ago. It looks like Oleksy will get nothing in the former professional wrestler’s will, and that is exactly the way she wanted it.
Brooke Oleksy opted out of inheriting anything from Hulk Hogan’s estate
Brooke Oleksy would have likely inherited money from her father, but she opted out of the will in 2023. According to TMZ, the former TV personality asked to be removed from Hulk Hogan’s will. Apparently, she went directly to his financial advisor to make the request. The publication claims that Oleksy opted to give up her stake to Hogan’s fortune because she feared a legal battle upon his death. It’s unclear who she was concerned about.
Technically, it isn’t possible to have your name removed from a will entirely. A person can take steps to make their intent to turn down an inheritance known. According to Cary Estate Planning, an individual can submit a letter with their intent to disclaim an inheritance. That is likely what Oleksy did, and would disqualify her from receiving any inheritance written in the will. It wouldn’t, however, preclude her from any life insurance policies she may have been named a beneficiary of, though.
What is Hulk Hogan’s net worth?
Hulk Hogan’s death, at the age of 71, shocked the world, despite rumors that he was in poor health. Because Hulk Hogan, whose legal name was Terry Gene Bollea, spent decades in the entertainment industry and has had some messy relationships, his estate could be a complicated one. So, how much might that estate be worth? According to reports, at the time of his passing, Hogan’s personal fortune was estimated to be worth $25 million.
His assumed net worth encompasses his real estate portfolio, including a sprawling Clearwater, Florida mansion. It also includes his business holdings, trademarks, and endorsement income. The figure also factors in the residual proceeds from a 2016 legal settlement with Gawker.
According to The Sun, his third wife, whom he married in 2023, stands to inherit a large portion of his estate. She’s legally entitled to it due to a unique Florida law. According to the publication, Hogan’s third wife, Sky Daily, is legally entitled to 30% of the estate, regardless of whether she was explicitly included in the will, because she was married to the star at the time of his death. It is unclear what other members of the family will receive inheritances from the former wrestler’s estate.
