Brooke Hogan was largely estranged from her father, Hulk Hogan, at the time of his death. She kept a safe distance from the rest of her family as well. Hogan did not attend his daughter’s wedding and had not met her twins by the time he died. She opted out of attending his memorial service. Still, she has questions and concerns about what happened on the day that he died. A police report and the presence of an occupational therapist at the scene have raised a few red flags. Brooke Hogan doesn’t think he father died from a heart attack, as has been reported.

Hulk Hogan’s death certificate says he died from a heart attack

On July 24, around 10 am, a 911 call was placed from Hulk Hogan’s Clearwater, Florida home. Paramedics responded to the home and found Hogan, who was born Terry Gene Bollea, unresponsive. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was declared dead just after 11 am. It is unclear if an autopsy was performed.

Despite the possible lack of an autopsy, a cause of death does appear on his official death certificate. According to the certificate, Hogan died from an acute myocardial infarction, better known as a heart attack. Contributing factors were listed as arterial fibrillation, a common form of an irregular heartbeat, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. CLL, a form of blood cancer, generally advances slowly and, with proper treatment, patients live many years, according to the American Cancer Society.

Brooke Hogan doesn’t believe that

Hulk Hogan’s death certificate lists a heart attack as his cause of death. Brooke Hogan is having a hard time believing that. A police report has raised some serious concerns, too. On August 20, Hogan took to Instagram Live to claim that she had been contacted by those who were there on the day of her father’s death. She claims nurses and other professionals have urged her to request bodycam footage as it could “change the narrative.” The story has since expired.

While Hogan didn’t provide further details, TMZ conducted some research and uncovered some interesting information. The Clearwater Police Department was still investigating the death as of August 21. The outlet also spoke to a source that revealed an occupational therapist was on hand when Hogan suffered his medical emergency. According to the insider, the therapist told emergency responders that Hogan did not show signs of distress, nor did he grab his chest. Instead, they said, he simply stopped breathing.

Hogan is rumored to have suffered nerve damage during a recent procedure. His widow, Sky Daly, told TMZ that the wrestler’s phrenic nerve had been “compromised” during a recent surgery. The nerve that was damaged, the phrenic nerve, is important to the breathing process. Damage to the nerve, either during surgery or due to trauma, can lead to serious medical complications. According to the Cleveland Clinic, it can lead to diaphragm paralysis. Based on the information now being released, it’s possible Hogan died as a result of medical malpractice. It is unclear what the family may do with that information.

Brooke Hogan was not on good terms with her father’s wife or her mother in the lead-up to Hogan’s death. She does maintain contact with her brother, Nick. Daly, 46, married Hogan in 2023.
