In an Odd Coincidence, Anna Duggar Returned to Social Media Just Before Joseph Duggar’s Arrest
Almost five years ago, Josh Duggar was arrested for possessing and receiving child pornography. He was convicted of those crimes in late 2021 and sentenced to 12 years in federal prison in 2022. Once Josh was safely behind bars at FCI Seagoville, his wife, Anna Duggar, slipped away from the spotlight. She deleted her Instagram account, stopped posting on Twitter, and kept her kids mostly out of family photos. Recently, though, she’s been trying her hand at social media again, albeit more anonymously. In a strange coincidence, the first time she showed her face back on Instagram in years came just a month before yet another Duggar family sex abuse scandal. The post went up a month before Joseph Duggar was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior.
Anna Duggar returned to social media just days before Joseph Duggar’s arrest
Anna Duggar filed paperwork to establish Golden Grove Pups as a limited liability company back in 2024. Initially, she didn’t seem to be doing much with the business. In 2025, however, the company’s Instagram whirled to life, with the mother of seven posting litters of pups, seemingly for sale. Through 2025, she was only posting pictures and videos of her dogs with her children. That changed in February 2026, when Anna featured herself in an upload.
In an odd coincidence, her first post showing her face came almost exactly one month before Joseph Duggar was arrested and charged with child molestation. The update, showing off her latest litter of puppies, marks her first major return to social media in years.
Anna does not currently have a public, personal Instagram account. The only account she appears to be posting to at this time is her business account. She does not discuss her famous family, and her name does not appear anywhere on the business’s pages. In fact, those unfamiliar with the family wouldn’t know a former reality TV star is running the account.
Anna Duggar’s last upload was shared on Instagram the day Joseph was arrested
While Anna Duggar seemed interested in wading back into the world of social media, Joseph Duggar’s legal troubles might have scared her off, though. Her most recent upload came on March 18, the day Joseph was arrested on child molestation charges. In her last upload, Anna showed off her horses, along with one of several puppies that appear to be for sale. While she didn’t show off her face, her very distinct voice is heard in the video. The video was posted hours before the arrest was made public.
Anna has not made a statement about Joseph’s arrest. She has not commented on Kendra Caldwell’s unrelated arrest just two days later, either. Several Duggars have. Anna is believed to reside in a home that Jim Bob Duggar purchased for $1 milion after closing a lucrative land deal with Walmart. It is unclear what the family scandal means for the future of her business, though.
