Fans everywhere were surprised to learn recently that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were separated and have filed for divorce after 19 years of marriage.

Their divorce, in which Kidman cited “irreconcilable differences,” is shaping up to be one of the quickest and cleanest we’ve seen in Hollywood in a long time. As Page Six noted, the former couple’s post-divorce plans have already been laid out. According to docs obtained by the publication, Kidman requested to be named the “primary residential parent” of their daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

Per the “Permanent Parenting Plan,” their girls will spend 306 days of the year with their mother and the 59 remaining days with their father. It’s been reported that Kidman and her daughters will continue to live in their Nashville home while Urban will stay at a rented Tennessee property.

Here’s more about that sprawling mansion where Urban also previously resided.

Kidman moved to Nashville with Urban and will stay there for a few more years

Multiple outlets have claimed that the decision to end their marriage was not Kidman’s, as she has been working to try and salvage things for some time. However, she and Urban ended up separating months ago and have been living apart ever since.

Kidman spoke several years back about moving to Nashville after the “Somebody Like You” artist showed her the area. And now, it’s been said that the actress has no plans of leaving Music City, at least for a few more years.

“I’m not sure that Nicole will want to remain in Tennessee full time after her children go off to college,” one insider told the New York Post. “But for now, the home will be a source of stability for them while navigating this separation.”

Kidman and Urban have an impressive real estate portfolio, but their Nashville home has been the family’s primary residence.

Details on the house where Kidman and her daughters will continue to live

Urban and Kidman bought the mansion and two adjacent parcels of land back in 2008 for $3.47 million.

Located in the gated Northumberland community, their estate is known as the “Queen of Northumberland.” The house has almost 11,000 square feet of living space and sits on two acres of land. It boasts seven bedrooms and 10 bathrooms (eight full baths, two half baths).

Some of its amenities include a large swimming pool, tennis courts, a private home theater, and a 30-foot-long hobby room.

The news about their marriage ending comes just two months after it was revealed that Kidman applied for residency in Portugal–however, she did not list Urban’s name on the paperwork. Local media outlet SIC Notícias reported that the “Moulin Rouge” star submitted her application as she had been looking for a dwelling in the country for a while.

Sources told the Post that Urban’s name was not included in the application at the time because his tour dates would have prevented him from attending the required in-person appointments to secure his visa.

They said, “Keith was unable to be in Portugal for this appointment as he is currently on tour in the U.S., and it is mandatory for applicants to be physically present in order to apply for the visa. He is scheduled to submit his application at a later date that works with his tour schedule.”
