Insider Claims Kanye West Hated Pete Davidson Because He Was ‘Traumatized’
While drama surrounding Kanye West’s professional comeback continues to mount, his personal life is reportedly swimming along just fine for now. The controversial rapper reportedly has no problem with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian’s new beau, Lewis Hamilton. In fact, he’s rumored to really like the pair together. That’s a far cry from how he behaved several years back when Kim Kardashian was dating Pete Davidson. West essentially terrorized Davidson throughout the nine-month relationship. Now, a source is stepping forward to claim it was all because West was “traumatized” by the split.

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson began dating in late 2021. While the pairing surprised some fans, others completely understood why Kardashian would seek out someone like Davidson following her tumultuous marriage. The relationship made headlines. While most people were fine with them together, Kanye West absolutely was not. Shortly after news of their romance broke, West started a campaign to harass Davidson.
West took to Twitter to harass the comedian almost immediately, sending out dozens of tweets about him. It didn’t slow down. His 2022 song “Eazy” and its accompanying video further targeted Davidson, with violent imagery and threatening lyrics. West also shared texts and messages on Twitter, prompting Davidson to clap back. The harassment became so troubling that Kardashian stated she was concerned for her and Davidson’s safety in court filings. Once Davidson and Kardashian split, the harassment dwindled.
A source claims Kanye West terrorized Pete Davidson because he was traumatized
Kanye West didn’t take the end of his marriage to Kim Kardashian well. An insider claims that it is the only reason he was so vicious toward Pete Davidson. Speaking to Page Six, an insider alleges that West, in the throes of a mental health crisis, was traumatized by losing the “love of his life.” They theorize that he acted out against Pete Davidson because of that. Still, they note he “really” hated Pete Davidson.
Kim Kardashian addressed the trouble between her ex-husband and Davidson during an appearance on Call Her Daddy, claiming the drama made her sad. During the chat, she insisted that Davidson didn’t deserve to have all of that brought to his table. Davidson, for his part, was largely laid back about it publicly, choosing to mostly ignore West and his troubling behavior.
Kardashian and Davidson split in August 2022, citing scheduling conflicts. There really was no drama following the breakup. Davidson moved on with Elsie Hewitt and became a father late last year. Kardashian is rumored to be dating Lewis Hamilton, while West has been married to Bianca Censori since 2023.
