Insider Says There’s ‘Tension’ Between Newlyweds Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos Over Sydney Sweeney News; Sánchez Was Blindsided
Is there trouble in paradise already for newlyweds Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos? Well, according to sources, there is “tension,” and it has to do with Sydney Sweeney.
The Euphoria actor has been making headlines since she was a guest at the couple’s wedding in June. First, she was the subject of romance rumors with both Orlando Bloom and Tom Brady. Sweeney also reportedly caused some angst with Kim Kardashian as she received much more attention than the SKIMS founder while in Venice, Italy.
Now, it’s been reported that Sweeney is the reason Sánchez is upset with her husband after learning the reason she was invited to their wedding.
On his Substack, columnist Rob Shuter shared that the White Lotus star is “launching her own lingerie line with funding from Bezos, backed through a $1 billion private equity play … and Sánchez didn’t see it coming.”
There had been questions from fans and some in the media about why Sweeney attended Sánchez and Bezos’s nuptials, with one source telling Page Six that the actress “is not friends with either one of them.”
Another insider shared, “Sydney’s not that close with Jeff or Lauren. But she got invited to their Venice wedding for a reason — business.”
A third person claimed, “There’s definitely some tension. Lauren didn’t realize just how involved Jeff was in this. It’s … awkward.”
Puck noted that financial backing for Sweeney’s brand has been secured from Coatue Management, a firm led by Ben Schwerin. Schwerin is closely associated with Bezos and tech magnate Michael Dell.
