Jake Browning’s relationship with the Cincinnati Bengals is a little rocky at the moment, but things with his fiancée are solid. Browning originally stepped in to fill in for Joe Burrow after turf toe took him out of the rotation. The NFL quarterback, however, struggled. The team’s offense was shaken and largely unsuccessful with the change. He has since been benched in favor of veteran journeyman Joe Flacco. While Browning is sitting on the sidelines, his fiancée, Stephanie Niles, isn’t going to dim her shine or stop showing up to support him and his team. She recently took to Instagram to inform her followers that they should still expect gameday ‘fits, because she’s super loyal. She claims her fiancé even has a nickname for her because of that loyalty.

Jake Browning’s fiancée says he calls her his ‘mob wife’

Stephanie Niles showed up to support the Cincinnati Bengals this past Thursday. It looked a bit different than the last few game days. Her fiancé, Jake Browning, was not calling the shots; he was benched in favor of Joe Flacco. Despite the setback, Niles is still showing up and showing out. She took to Instagram to share her outfit, which featured a six on the front of a white crop top. The six referenced Browning’s number.

Niles explained that fans will be getting ‘fit checks for the duration of Browning’s time with the Bengals because she’s super loyal. She told her followers that Browning calls her his “mob wife” because of her loyalty. She said she will be rooting for the Ohio-based team for as long as her man plays for them. If he’s traded at some point, she’ll put all the orange away, we assume.

While the term “mob wife” used to refer to a woman married to a mobster, it’s now used in a more creative way. It can refer to the over-the-top aesthetic and lifestyle that mob wives have become known for, or, in Niles’ case, a woman who is inherently loyal and selfless even when the chips are down. Browning surely could use a mob wife at the moment; getting benched is a pretty awful feeling. He’s made it known that he’s pretty angry about how it all went down.

How long have they been together?

Stephanie Niles’ commitment to her man and his team is nothing new. She has been rooting for Browning for years. The pair met as college students at the University of Washington, where Browning was the starting quarterback and she was an accounting student. She stood by him in 2019 when he went undrafted, and followed him to his assignment when he was signed as an undrafted free agent.

While Browning has been busy honing his signal-caller skills, Niles has been behind him, but she’s been pretty busy, too. In 2020, she co-founded a sustainable swimwear business and became something of a famous face on social media. In 2024, Browning and Niles decided to start their next big adventure together. He proposed in Malibu. It’s unclear if the duo has set the date yet, but when they do tie the knot, Browning will officially have his mob wife.
