Jana Duggar Welcomes Her First Baby
The Duggar family is starting off the new year with a brand new baby. Jana Duggar has become a first-time mother after welcoming a baby boy just before the new year. Jana, who turned 36 just days after welcoming her son, is the oldest first-time mom in the family. Now, fans are turning their attention to Jana’s twin brother, as his wife is due to welcome their newest addition any day now.
Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann have welcomed their first baby
Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann headed into 2026 with something to be very thankful for. Their first child, a baby boy, was born just ahead of the new year. On January 23, Jana took to Instagram to share the big news. She told followers that her son, Archie Gerald Wissmann, arrived on December 30. Jana Duggar opted not to share additional details on her baby’s arrival just yet, though it’s possible a YouTube update will contain more information.
Jana and Stephen married in a surprise ceremony in August 2024. The pair were rumored to be dating several years before they ultimately got engaged, but the rumors died down when no engagement announcement emerged. As it turned out, the pair dated, broke up, and rekindled their romance years later. Following her wedding, which included all of her sisters in the wedding party except one, Jana moved to Nebraska to be with Stephen.
Did John David and Abbie welcome their baby, too?
Now that Jana has let the cat out of the bag about her new arrival, Duggar family followers are hyper-focused on John David Duggar and his wife, Abbie Burnett. Abbie and John David announced that they, too, were expecting, within weeks of Jana’s big news. The sisters-in-law seemed to have due dates that were extremely close, and they even hosted a joint gender reveal party. So, has Abbie had her baby, too?
In late September, Abbie took to Instagram to celebrate feeling better as she moved past the “halfway” point of her pregnancy. If she were around 20 weeks in late September, she is likely due in the next week or so. While it’s possible her latest addition has already arrived, it’s equally likely that she and John David are still awaiting baby #3. The couple is a bit more camera-shy than Jana and Stephen and less likely to update fans immediately about big news. Still, Abbie has been more forthcoming during this pregnancy than in her previous ones.
John David Duggar and Abbie Burnett married in 2018 and welcomed their first child, Grace Annette, together in January 2020. Their second child, Charlie, was born in September 2022. They are currently expecting a girl.
