Janelle said that seeing her pal’s location made her feel as if she were still there. She shared that it reminded her a bit of how her own family dealt with the death of Garrison Brown in 2024.
In a lengthy Instagram caption, Janelle revealed that she and her children kept Garrison’s phone powered on for a “long time” after his March 2024 death because they liked seeing his location pop up. She didn’t reveal when they finally turned the device off, but it sounds like they eventually allowed the phone to power off for the last time. They’ve opted to keep his spirit alive in other ways now.

Garrison Brown died at the age of 25 in March 2024. Janelle and Kody Brown’s fourth child, Garrison, was found dead in his home by his younger brother, Gabriel Brown. The reality TV star died by suicide. According to reports, Garrison had sent a series of troubling text messages the evening before he was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The 25-year-old was reportedly having issues with alcohol at the time of his death. The medical examiner listed ethanol intoxication as a contributing factor.
