Jenelle Evans Reportedly Sends Oldest Son to Live With Biological Father Amid Mounting Troubles
Former Teen Mom 2 star, Jenelle Evans, reportedly has one less child in her house these days. While the mother of three has been busy discussing Nathan Griffith and his legal drama, she’s been cooking up a new parenting plan on the sly. According to reports, Evans has sent her eldest son, Jace Evans, to live with his biological father, Andrew Lewis, in Florida. The move occurred just days ago.
Jenelle Evans sends Jace Evans to live with his biological father
Jace Evans is out of school for the summer and has reportedly moved to Florida. According to the U.S. Sun, Jace, 15, flew from Las Vegas to Florida as an unaccompanied minor on May 9 to meet up with his largely absent biological father, Andrew Lewis. According to the outlet, a judge signed off on Lewis taking temporary custody of the teen. It is unclear how long he’ll stay in Florida, or if the move is permanent, but it seems he’ll be in the Sunshine State for at least the next month. He is due back in Las Vegas in June for a check-in.

Teen Mom fans met Andrew Lewis during Jenelle’s 16 & Pregnant episode. The episode followed Evans, a teen, and Lewis, already in his 20s, as they navigated pregnancy together. While Lewis met Jace when he was born, he disappeared a short time later, with Evans claiming he was “modeling in China.” He has had extremely limited contact with Jace since. The teen’s recent move likely marks the first time he’s spent an overnight with his father.
Why did she send him to live with Andrew?
While Evnas has not spoken publicly about her decision to send Jace Evans to live with his father, we can assume that her increased difficulty in managing the teen is the reason for the move. Since regaining custody of Jace in March 2023, Evans has called the police on him multiple times. Before Evans was granted custody of Jace, he had lived primarily with his maternal grandmother, Barbara Evans. She remains quiet on the move.
While they were living in North Carolina, she reported him missing multiple times. After moving to Las Vegas in May 2024, she called 911 at least twice on the teen for violent outbursts. Evans placed the most recent 911 call on April 12. The Ashley Reality Roundup Group reports that Evans told a 911 dispatcher that her son had smashed items in the home. She asked that the police place the teen on a psychiatric hold, but responding officers denied the request.
Jenelle sent her other son to live with another family member last year
Jenelle Evans’ decision to send Jace Evans to live with his biological father might seem a bit out of the blue, but it’s not the first time she’s sent a child to live elsewhere when she’s having issues with them. Late last year, Evans made headlines when she sent her 11-year-old son, Kaiser Griffith, to live in Tennessee with his paternal grandmother. Evans pulled Kaiser back to Las Vegas just weeks later when she faced public backlash. She later alleged she brought Kaiser back to Vegas because Doris Donaldson, Kaiser Griffith’s grandmother, spoke to the media.

According to the Ashley Reality Roundup Group, Kaiser’s move to Tennessee was caused by significant trouble at school. Mounting pressure from Child Protective Services in Nevada also allegedly played a role. Evans has dealt with CPS multiple times over the years. She once bragged that she was taking court-ordered parenting classes for a fifth time.
