Jenelle Evans apparently found her motivation while in the hospital earlier this month. Since her release in early September, Evans has hit the ground running. She has been traveling, giving interviews, and, of course, reveling in David Eason and Kenliegh Hetwole’s breakup. In a recent sit-down, she even clued fans in on what’s coming in the future. The former reality TV star claims she is launching a podcasting network. It isn’t her first attempt at podcasting, though, and there is already a former Teen Mom 2 cast member with a podcasting empire.

Jenelle Evans says she’s launching a podcasting network

Jenelle Evans apparently has big plans. Last week, the mother of three was in New York for New York Fashion Week and used her time wisely. She made the rounds, sat for some interviews, and made some big announcements. Her most surprising announcement came during an interview with the U.S. Sun.

During a chat with the outlet, Jenelle Evans revealed she plans to launch a podcast network. Not only will she be hosting her own podcast, but she claims she has “signed” multiple moms she met on TikTok. She allegedly will serve as producer on projects associated with the unnamed TikTok moms. According to Evans, she’s already getting started; she claims to have two or three shows in the works right now. Her own podcast will reportedly focus on relationships, motherhood, and divorce. Evans hasn’t ironed out all the details, it seems.

Jenelle was planning a podcast with her old friend just months ago

Things change quickly in Jenelle Evans’ life, and that’s true for her podcasting aspirations, too. While Evans told the U.S. Sun that she’s planning an entire podcasting network, just weeks ago, she was planning to launch a singular project with her former best friend, Tori Rhyne. Rhyne even moved out to Las Vegas to make things happen. She only stayed a few weeks, though. No podcast was ever made, and Rhyne hightailed it back to North Carolina, even calling in a friend to help her get her car back to her home state. Evans and Rhyne traded barbs on social media as she packed up and headed back east.

Her failed venture with Rhyne follows a previous podcasting disaster. In 2021, Evans attempted to launch a podcast and lifestyle brand called “Girl Sh*t” with 18 other women. The brand featured fellow reality TV stars, although no one from her show was associated with the project. She chattered on about the project for weeks before a launch party went awry. According to the Ashley Reality Roundup Group, Evans was unceremoniously fired hours before a launch party for the brand when other ambassadors dug into her past and raised concerns. Evans attempted to appear unbothered by the entire ordeal.

She could reach out to her archnemesis for advice

While Evans’ previous podcast attempts have failed pretty epically, there is a former Teen Mom 2 cast member who has figured out how to make podcasting profitable. Kailyn Lowry’s podcasting success ultimately led to her decision to leave Teen Mom 2 behind in 2022. The mother of seven once said she was making more money from podcasting than she was from the series. She co-hosts or hosts multiple podcasts herself and distributes a few others.

While Lowry has found podcasting success, it seems unlikely that Evans will be going to her for tips. Evans and Lowry have been feuding for years, sometimes loudly and, more recently, quietly. The drama started back in 2011 when they both appeared on Teen Mom 2. In 2017, Evans claimed producers “favored’ Lowry. They threw shade at each other periodically online, with Kailyn insisting in 2022 that she had no respect for Evans. That is where they stand at the moment, so a mentorship situation seems out of the question.
