Jenni “JWoww” Farley and Zack Carpinello went to great lengths to keep their wedding a secret. They wanted so much privacy that they didn’t even tell their guests they were attending the nuptials in advance. The couple, who met way back in 2015 when Farley walked down the aisle for the first time, tricked their guests into coming out for what they believed was a movie screening.

The Jersey Shore star married wrestler Zack Carpinello in a surprise ceremony, inviting about 50 friends and family members who believed they were showing up for a screening of her upcoming movie, Nanny Cam. The invite promised a red carpet movie premiere, but the guests arrived to Madison Modern Social for something else entirely. The Old Bridge, New Jersey venue hosted Farley and Carpinello’s wedding instead.
The surprise event wasn’t a last-minute thing, either. In a chat with People, Farley and Carpinello revealed they had spent months putting together the ruse that involved keeping the secret from 50 guests. They printed invitations that billed the gathering as a premiere, and they carried the theme into the actual wedding. For example, Carpinello made his entrance to the James Bond theme song.
Farley even gave a bit of a nod to her Jersey Shore roots and her co-star, Nicole Polizzi, during the event. Farley made her way down the aisle to “Young and Beautiful,” the same song Polizzi used at her own wedding.
Inside Jenni and Zack’s relationship
While Zack Carpinello and Jenni Farley are now husband and wife, they actually met when Farley was marrying someone else entirely. Carpinello attended Farley’s 2015 wedding to Roger Mathews as his sister’s plus one. His sister, Erika, and Jenni are friends. While Farley and Carpinello met during her previous marriage, things took a long time to turn romantic, though they remained in touch.
The pair went public with their romance in 2019 shortly after Farley and Mathews split. Things weren’t smooth right away, though. Months after going public, Carpinello and Farley spent some time apart after he was caught flirting with her Jersey Shore castmate, Angelina Pivarnick.
They linked back up after a few months apart and haven’t looked back since. Carpinello proposed in 2021 atop the Empire State Building. The cliché but romantic moment was shared on Instagram. While they announced their engagement, Farley insisted she wasn’t certain they would actually wed, suggesting she felt like their romance was better without the legal ties of a marriage license. It is unclear why she changed her mind.
