Jennifer Aniston Has an Important Piece of ‘Friends’ Memorablia in her Office
Jennifer Aniston was shocked this week to learn her longtime friend Reese Witherspoon is not actually named Reese. While Witherspoon shocked Aniston with her big reveal, the Friends star had a few secrets tucked away, too. The iconic actress revealed exactly what she took from the set of Friends and where she has it prominently displayed in her home. The souvenir makes sense considering Rachel Green’s first job and Aniston’s real-life affinity for coffee.
Jennifer Aniston has an important souvenir from ‘Friends’
Jennifer Aniston became a household name playing Rachel Green on Friends. Decades after the show’s final episode aired, it remains a fan favorite and a job Aniston looks back on fondly. She thinks so highly of the role that she made sure she was able to take something special home from the set.
During a recent LAD Bible Appearance, Aniston revealed to Reese Witherspoon that she took home a neon coffee cup sign that hung in Central Perk for the duration of the series. Aniston is proud of the keepsake and displays it prominently. She told her co-star and longtime friend that the sign can be located in her office.
The neon sign in question was very obvious throughout the series. It hung on the wall next to the front door. The sign is special for one big reason. While the crew rearranged much of the decor in Central Perk as the seasons progressed, the neon sign remained in its original location.
It was a fitting souvenir
The neon coffee sign that Jennifer Aniston carried off the set of Friends was a fitting souvenir for her years of service. Not only was Central Perk the center of the group’s universe, but it was also the first place Rachel Green ever worked. If anyone was going to get a momento from the fictional coffeehouse, it should have been Aniston.
That isn’t the only reason it’s fitting, though. Aniston is a bit of a coffee aficionado herself. She even once shared her perfect coffee order. During an interview with Vogue, Aniston revealed that she incorporates her morning coffee into her self-care routine. She enjoys a cup while journaling or meditating. To get the perfect coffee, she adds Vital Protein collagen peptides, a packet of stevia, and lactose-free milk. If she’s feeling crazy, she adds a little hazelnut flavoring. She insists the secret to a great cup of coffee is to get in there and “blend it all up.”
