Jennifer Garner Wants to See ‘Lonely’ Ben Affleck in a ‘Stable Relationship’

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck divorced in 2018, but they’ve remained in each other’s lives as co-parents. Affleck appeared to lean on his ex-wife amid marriage turmoil with Jennifer Lopez. Now, Garner is reportedly hoping to see Affleck settle down with someone new. She’s hoping he can find a stable romance.

Jennifer Garner reportedly wants Ben Affleck to settle into a new relationship

After a whirlwind rekindled romance, Affleck and Lopez separated in 2024. In the time since they finalized their divorce, Garner has reportedly started hoping to see her ex with another partner.

“She’d like to see him in a stable relationship,” a source told Star Magazine. “She knows he’s lonely.” 

The source noted that Garner does not want to see Affleck and Lopez get back together.

“Jen wants him to find someone more down-to-earth,” they said, adding, “Ben will always be family and will be in her life forever, so she has a vested interest in seeing him with someone she likes.” 

She is reportedly even trying to set Affleck up with another partner.

“It’s just a matter of getting him to agree to let her set him up,” the source claimed.

Fortunately for Garner, sources say a reunion between Affleck and Lopez is highly unlikely. While they were friendly during an event for the film Kiss of the Spider Woman, they are not looking to jump back into a romance.

“There’s still a lot of love between them, but they both understand they shouldn’t be married,” a source told Us Weekly.

Lopez has also referred to the divorce as the best thing that has happened to her.
