Jennifer Lopez’s name was in the headlines a lot in 2025. Much of the news had to do with her divorce from Ben Affleck. That was finalized in January. The former couple then surprised fans in October when they reunited at the premiere for Kiss of the Spider Woman, which stars Lopez and is produced by Affleck. Rumors and stories also flooded the internet throughout the year about who the actress was supposedly dating or having a fling with.

The “My Love Don’t Cost a Thing” artist has now vowed to try and keep her personal life out of the spotlight going forward telling SiriusXM radio host Howard Stern, “I think now, after what’s happened in the past few years to me and my children, I just feel like I want to keep that part so much more quiet in my life.”

However, Lopez still wants to share happy family moments with her fans and she figured that the festive holiday period was the perfect time to do that.

JLo took to social media to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and shared a video rocking a red body-hugging sequined dress. The clip also featured her twins, Max and Emme, and showed her home beautifully decorated.

It all seemed innocent enough, but everything that gets posted on social media is dissected and many followers called out the superstar for using filters and accused her of a bad Photoshop job.

While some fans complimented Lopez on her look, others couldn’t help but point out the fact that her iPhone appeared curved in her mirror selfie.

“Easy on the filters and editing, the iPhone literally got curved like a banana,” one person wrote.

A second person commented, “Photoshop is off the charts your phone is bending babe,” while a third added, “The head/neck/shoulder/boob placement is all slightly off too.”

“I love you, girl. But you’ve got to double-check for unintended distortion in any photo you edit–before posting,” another advised.

Several of the comments did get pretty harsh too with some slamming the singer, writing, “Getting poor at the filter game in your old age JLo” and “Queen of auto tune and face tune.”

People were much kinder in the comments section of an earlier carousel of pics Lopez posted with her family members decked out in red-and-white pinstrip pajamas on Christmas Eve.

Most wished her a Merry Christmas and said they were great pics with her loved ones.

It’s unlikely that Lopez will respond to the Photoshop allegations because this isn’t something new as people tend to scan everything she posts for signs of editing. The “On the Floor” hitmaker usually just rises above that and continues to post what she wants because whether she’s using filters or Photoshop what she puts out is for her fans, not the haters, as they’ll always have something negative to say.
