Jennifer Lopez’s 1st Husband Physically Confronted Diddy Over Her Affair
Jennifer Lopez’s first husband, Ojani Noa, spoke out about her relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs. Lopez went on to date Combs after her divorce from Noa. According to Lopez, she had major concerns that Combs was cheating on her throughout their relationship. Noa felt similarly during their marriage. He felt that Lopez had cheated on him with Combs.

Noa married Lopez in 1997. They met in Miami, at the restaurant where Noa worked. After a whirlwind romance, they tied the knot. According to Noa, she cheated on him during their marriage.
“She cheated on me with Diddy,” he told the US Sun. “I confronted him and told him I wasn’t scared of him.”
Lopez and Noa divorced in 1998. She entered a relationship with Combs after this. Noa said that when they broke up, he and Lopez tried to make things work again.
“We were still friends and we had decided to start over again,” she said. “Everyone makes mistakes and deserves to be forgiven once. She had tried to dump Diddy before and he had threatened her and her family.”
He claimed he had to confront Combs at a birthday party Lopez threw for her assistant.
“He turned up to her assistant’s birthday party in Los Angeles — which Jennifer had thrown for her — and everyone was shocked,” he said. “I went over to him and told him to leave and he told me to back off. He asked me who I was, to which I replied, ‘F*** you’. I told him he had slept with my wife. Jennifer got in between us. She said he would leave but he didn’t. I got upset with her and at the end of the night she got in his car and left.”

Noa worked at Gloria and Emilio Estefan’s restaurant, Lario’s on the Beach. Lopez walked in with friends and immediately stood out to him.
“She was the most beautiful woman I’d ever seen,” he told the Daily Mail. “In the beginning, I had no idea who she was.”
The group of friends invited Noa out to a club with them after dinner. He took her out onto the dance floor at the urging of her friends.
“We could both feel the romantic energy,” he recalled. “It was instant and intense. Like it was surging through our bodies. I said, ‘I feel the same way you’re feeling.’ I lifted her chin and gave her a kiss — it was a kiss like we’d known each other forever.”
She spoke about the issues they faced in their relationship
During Lopez’s relationship with Combs, she said that they worked together well because they both understood what it was like to live in the spotlight.
“One of the great things about being with who I’m with right now is that he and I do understand each other’s business,” she told W Magazine in 2000. “We’ve both separately built something from nothing. So he is my equal in that sense. It’s hard for me, or any woman in this business, to find somebody who understands what makes me tick.”
Still, the scrutiny on their romance was not always easy on her.
“[It’s] definitely taking a toll on me. Because it’s become an invasion,” she said. “At one point, it was so nice that people were interested in us. Now we can’t go out of the house. We have to think things through before we go out together.”
They ultimately broke up in 2001.
