Jessi Draper Details Jordan Ngatikaura’s Controlling Behavior Amidst Ongoing Divorce
Jessi Draper and Jordan Ngatikaura’s marriage drama has played out over multiple seasons of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Fans thought they had a pretty good handle on what might have been going on behind the scenes. As it turns out, they did not. Shortly after Jordan filed for divorce, his estranged wife sat down for an interview. She was more than willing to spill the tea. During a recent podcast appearance, Draper recounted the controlling behavior she lived with and how Jordan’s emotional abuse worsened with time.
Jessi Draper says Jordan Ngatikaura was controlling
On March 19, as the world focused on Taylor Frankie Paul’s canceled The Bachelorette season, Jordan Ngatikuara filed for divorce from Jessi Draper. Jordan immediately issued a statement. At the time, he insisted he wanted a peaceful, kind, and respectful divorce. He went on to claim it was a difficult decision that came with a “heavy heart.”
Jessi did not immediately issue a statement, but she’s talking now. The TV personality recently appeared on Call Her Daddy, and she is spilling all the tea about her troubled marriage and what comes next. Jessi alleges that while Jordan claimed publicly that he wanted a “respectful” divorce, thier marriage was anything but. She accused the sales manager of monitoring her social media and spying on her during the day with cameras in the home. She also claimed that Jordan regularly tried to control her parenting and business decisions.
Most disturbingly, Jessi recalled how Jordan handled her affair with Marciano Brunette. The affair, which Jessi insists never went past kissing, came with some pretty racy texts. Jessi claims her estranged husband tried to blackmail her over the messages.
Were the couple involved in the infamous soft-swinging scandal?
Jessi Draper and Jordan Ngatikaura’s divorce comes on the heels of renewed interest in the soft swinging scandal that catapulted MomTok members to fame. Jessi and Jordan have appeared on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives from the very beginning. Still, they were not actively involved in the soft swinging scandal that led to the series.
That doesn’t mean the couple didn’t battle issues with trust, consent, and infidelity, though. In season 2 of SLOMW, Jessi admitted to swinging in past relationships. The admission came after she grew incensed when Jordan gave Jen Affleck a lap dance. She quipped that if Jen was inviting them to swing, the answer was no. Jessi’s emotional affair with Marciano Brunette also heavily impacted the couple’s trust in each other.
While the couple’s public issues have played out publicly for years,it is unclear if their divorce will be featured on reality TV. SLMOW was filming in recent weeks, but the cast has gone on an indefinite pause as Taylor Frankie Paul’s domestic violence issues are worked out. There is no word on when or if the cast will return to work on season 5 of the series.
