Joe and Melissa Gorga Think They Would ‘Kill It’ on a Competition Show
The public is still waiting on word about the future of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. While Andy Cohen promised an update “soon” a few weeks ago, we have still heard nothing. While rumors are swirling that some cast members are filming again, Melissa and Joe Gorga aren’t against the notion of entertaining a new reality TV career path. The duo were recently at an event and happily chatted about what could be coming in the future. Both Melissa and Joe were excited about the prospect of appearing on The Traitors despite the competition coming with some significant pitfalls. Fans are wondering where Melissa dug up her newfound confidence. She previously said she didn’t have what it takes for the show. In fact, she was against the idea just months ago.
Melissa and Joe Gorga think they’d “kill” on ‘The Traitors;
It looks like Melissa and Joe Gorga are officially throwing their hat in the ring for The Traitors. The couple appeared together at Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea Awards last week, and they were feeling rather chatty. Melissa revealed that she loves watching The Traitors and thinks she’d be really great at it if she and her husband could compete together.
Joe Gorga was quick to back up Melissa’s claim, insisting they would “kill it.” While fans aren’t convinced the Jersey natives could really dominate the strategy game, their discussion about it raises some questions about their future on Bravo. Joe and Melissa seem really open to considering other options now. They were far less interested just a few months ago. Could that mean they know something about the casting of The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 16 that we don’t? It’s possible. The cast would be the first to know.
Melissa previously said ‘The Traitors’ was out of the question
While the Gorgas are apparently totally into the idea of appearing on The Traitors now, Melissa was singing a much different tune just a few months ago. Back in April 2025, she sat down for a chat with Decider and discussed the possibility of appearing on the hit competition show. Melissa insisted she wasn’t in the headspace to participate, although she said she loved being a viewer.
She told the outlet that the idea of walking away from her family and her businesses for multiple weeks without any way to contact them just didn’t sit right with her. While she admitted, in her recent discussion about the show, that she’d still find it difficult to be away from her kids, it seems having Joe with her would ease the burden a bit.
She’d have plenty of time to get used to the idea
If Melissa and Joe are ever approached about the show, the Jersey girl will have plenty of time to wrap her head around the idea that she’d be unable to access her phone for a few weeks. The show has been renewed for a fourth and fifth season. Still, Peacock has not yet announced a premiere date for Season 4. Still, insiders believe fans can expect the series in early 2026. The cast has already been announced. That means the Gorgas’ next shot wouldn’t come until season 5. The streaming service provider is not yet casting for Season 5.
Who knows, by the time castings come around again, the Gorgas might be in a completely different position. Casting decisions for The Real Housewives of New Jersey remain unclear. We have a feeling Melissa could be persuaded to sign up for The Traitors if it meant she could one-up her sister-in-law and nemesis, Teresa Giudice. Rumors did swirl that Giudice would appear on season 4, but she doesn’t seem to be on the cast list. She has appeared on other competitions, though.
