It is official, Josh Hall and Christina Haack are no longer husband and wife. While the former HGTV pair reached a financial settlement back in May, a judge has just signed off on the split. While the settlement is considered fair, their split was anything but amicable. Surely, they are both happy to put it all behind them. Hall wants everyone to know how happy he is. To celebrate his divorce from Christina Haack, Josh Hall took to Instagram to take a dig at his former bride.

Josh Hall throws shade at Christina Haack to celebrate his divorce

Josh Hall is celebrating the end of his marriage by throwing shade at his ex-wife on Instagram. Hall took to the platform to celebrate his divorce from Christina Haack, which was finalized on August 26. Hall shared a photo of himself with a horse, looking relaxed and laid back. In the caption, he wrote that he was spending Labor Day Weekend in the “real reality.” He wrote that after finalizing his divorce, he learned a lesson: “don’t marry someone who needs constant public validation.” In a likely unintentionally ironic moment, he also claimed he was glad he was no longer with someone who uses their personal drama for attention. Hall turned off comments on the post.

Haack hasn’t responded to the seemingly bitter update. She and Hall have both moved on from their marriage, despite having just finalized the split. Hall is dating Stephanie Gabrys, a model. Haack has been seeing CEO Christopher Larocca since late 2024. They went Instagram official in January.

What did he get in their divorce settlement?

Josh Hall was not famous, nor was he directly involved with HGTV, when he met Christina Haack. He briefly joined the HGTV team while he was married to Haack. When they split midway through filming the first season of The Flip Off, Hall balked at the notion of not getting rights to earnings from the program. While he didn’t walk away with Haack’s media earnings from the show, the settlement did leave him in a position to rebuild his life.

Hall waived his right to spousal support. Instead, he left the marriage with one home in Tennessee, a condo in California, several cars, including a Bentley, and a motorcycle. According to the New York Post, Haack also paid him $300,000 and advanced him an additional $100,000 earlier in the divorce proceedings. Haack was also ordered to pay Hall’s legal fees.

In exchange, Haack retained her home in California, a farmhouse in Tennessee, and other properties, less Hall’s equity, two SUVs, several ATVs, and the rights to her businesses. The settlement was largely considered fair and even, considering the duo apparently didn’t have a prenuptial agreement. The absence of a prenup was a move many considered irresponsible on Haack’s part, given her assets, businesses, and her previous track record with relationships. Hall was Haack’s third husband. Haack and Hall did not share any children. She’s remained largely quiet since the settlement.
