Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth Find a New Home to ‘Grow Their Family’ in
Joy-Anna Forsyth and Austin Forsyth had some exciting news to share; the couple, who have spent more than a year renting a house, are officially homeowners again. Joy took to Instagram to celebrate the occasion, sharing her hopes for the future with fans. She says the home is big enough for their growing needs.

Joy-Anna Forsyth and Austin Forsyth apparently know what they like when they see it. While the duo has spent the last several months looking at houses with no luck, the perfect oppurtunity apparently presented itself just a couple of weeks ago. They jumped on it quickly, it seems.
On September 13, Joy shared that she and Austin visited a piece of property that was “a bit bigger” than they were looking for. She said the home turned out to have “so much potential.” The mother of three was clearly excited after seeing hundreds of houses over a two-year period. She didn’t end the social media post with a definitive answer, instead claiming she and Austin were going to go home and pray about the property.
As it turns out, she had reason to be so excited. The pair put in an offer and are now officially owners of that property. They announced their new home purchase on Instagram on September 23, the same day they closed on the property. While Joy hasn’t shared many details yet, followers were quick to notice her choice of words. She noted that they had been searching for a home that would be large enough to accommodate their growing family ever since selling their last property in 2023. Clearly, the duo is planning for more kids, but how many?
How many kids are the couple planning
Joy-Anna Forsyth did say that the house they purchased is big enough for them to grow their family. That statement has Duggar family followers wondering how many more members the Forsyths plan to add to the family. Joy has been surprisingly forthcoming on the topic. While some of her sisters have been coy about their family plans, Joy has been open, revealing that she has no intention of having as many children as her parents.
In several YouTube videos, Joy has stated that she and her husband have discussed the possibility of having four or five children, but they remain open to the idea of more if they feel their family is not yet complete. After welcoming her third child, Joy made it clear that she didn’t feel done yet, but it seems they are prepared to cap the family at five kids, at least right now.
Joy and Austin are parents to Gideon Forsyth, who was born nine months after their May 2017 wedding. Evelyn Mae joined the family in 2020. Gunner Forsyth was born in 2022. In 2019, Joy had a stillbirth. She commemorated what would have been Annabelle Forsyth’s sixth birthday in July. Joy has not announced another pregnancy since Gunner, although her older sister, Jana Duggar, and her sister-in-law, Abbie Burnett, are currently pregnancy buddies. There aren’t any other known Duggar pregnancies right now.
