The legal saga between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively continues on over a year after she filed her lawsuit. The pair were both at a Manhattan courthouse for a mediation session that failed to reach a deal. Now, they are one step closer to taking the case to trial. Baldoni’s lawyer said he is looking forward to this.

In late 2024, Lively sued Baldoni for harassment on the set of It Ends With Us. She also alleged that Baldoni conducted a smear campaign against her. Baldoni responded with a lawsuit against Lively and Ryan Reynolds, but a judge dismissed it in 2025.

On Feb. 11, Lively and Baldoni went to a mandatory settlement talk in New York. They were there for six hours before the two actors left separately. This is a standard part of federal procedure, but it didn’t appear that either side believed the talks would actually go anywhere.

The trial is currently scheduled for May 18.
