Less than two months after Justin Bieber shocked fans with the release of Swag, his first album in four years, he announced he’s putting out a follow up, Swag II. Swag had nearly all of its songs debut on the Hot 100, and it debuted at No. 2. Weeks later, though, the album has proved to not have the same staying power as some of his other records. How has Swag performed on the charts ahead of the release of Swag II?

How has Justin Bieber’s album ‘Swag’ performed on the charts?

Swag debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 200 on July 26. All but two songs and three skits recordings also charted on the Hot 100. The song “Daisies” performed the best, also debuting at No. 2.

“Daisies” held its peak position for only a week before dropping down to the No. 3 spot on the Hot 100. It has continued to steadily decline.

After Swag debuted at No. 2, it has followed a similar path through the charts. It dropped to No. 6 the week after its debut. At the time of publication, Swag is at No. 17, down from No.9 the week before.

This week, Bieber still has two songs, “Daisies” and “Yukon,” on the charts, and he could soon add to that number. He will drop Swag II at midnight on Sept. 5. As with the first Swag, he gave fans little time to prepare for the album drop. On his Instagram, he has posted multiple pictures of pink billboards that simply state Swag II.
