Justin Bieber Showed Signs of ‘Tension’ With Wife Hayley at the Grammys
Justin Bieber delivered one of the most-talked-about performances at the 68th annual Grammy Awards. But the pop star’s appearance on the red carpet before the show also had people buzzing.
The “Sorry” singer hit the carpet with his wife, Hayley Bieber. The stylish couple coordinated in all-black ensembles. Hayley wore a long black, strapless Alaïa dress with sheer panels while her husband rocked a Balenciaga suit with plenty of bling by Lorraine Schwartz.

Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert with a degree in psychology. He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and TV as a consultant and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.” Stanton noticed that Justin showed a sign of “slight tension” on the carpet as he stood alongside Hayley.
Speaking on behalf of Covers, the expert told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “Justin Bieber, he very much gives indications through his body language that what you see is what you get with him. He didn’t give much away through his facial expressions. He’s quite stoic, doesn’t seem to love the attention or want to stick around for long.
“He puts his hands in his pockets, which shows he is comfortable in his posture. He gave a couple of genuine smiles. They’re quite subtle smiles, but nothing defensive either. We see an authenticity with him, and he clearly isn’t lapping the limelight. Justin’s jaw is clenched whilst he poses for pictures, which is almost a sign of slight tension from him.”

However, once inside the ceremony, Stanton observed the couple showing a “deep rapport” with one another.
“Hayley and Justin appear to be a very tight couple,” he noted. “They match and mirror each other. Their body language is quite symmetrical. Justin is inverted inwards and she is the same, which is a good example of this … This shows they have a deep trust and rapport with each other.”
Stanton also pointed out that Hayley exhibited a genuinely happy reaction during Justin’s performance.
On behalf of Betfair Casino, he explained, “The shots of her during the performance show immense pride. She is smiling with her whole face engaged and doesn’t take her eyes off him throughout the performance. Her mouth is open, her eyes are wide and eyebrows are slightly raised. All these points towards genuine pride and admiration. They are clearly very much in love, and she is loving the opportunity to see him in his element and doing what he does best.”
