Justin Bieber Sold His Home to Khloé Kardashian After a Prank Left Him Owing His Neighbor $80,000
In 2014, Justin Bieber sold his home to Khloé Kardashian, likely to the immense relief of his neighbors. That year, Bieber nearly faced felony charges after he egged his neighbor’s house. While this sounds like a childish prank, it did a jaw-dropping amount of damage. Kardashian bought the home shortly before Bieber was ordered to pay his neighbor tens of thousands of dollars.

In 2014, Bieber lived in a Calabasas mansion. He had several negative interactions with neighbors, and things came to a head when he egged his next door neighbor Jeff Schwartz’s home. Per the LA Times, Bieber did $20,000 worth of damage to the house, which could have resulted in felony charges.
To avoid a felony charge, Bieber pleaded no contest and was ordered by a judge to pay $80,900, complete community service, and take anger management classes. He was also ordered to stay away from Schwartz. Bieber managed this by selling his home to Kardashian for $7.2 million.
The following year, Schwartz sued Bieber for harassing and threatening him and his family.
After six years in the home, Kardashian sold her mansion in 2020. Per People, she sold it for $15.5 million, over double what she paid for it. The house has been home to several celebrities, likely because of the privacy it affords them.
“You have the most breathtaking views,” said realtor Tomer Fridman. “Just absolutely incredible, complete privacy, I mean unless you’re in a helicopter you’re not seeing into this house ever.”
