Celebrities have largely opted to stay quiet regarding Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and the criminal trial that has drawn famous faces into the courtroom. Most celebrities seem to agree that if their name hasn’t been directly mentioned, it is best to steer clear of the situation. Kanye West isn’t most people, though; the controversial music producer has some pretty unpopular opinions, and his thoughts on Kid Cudi’s testimony are no different.

While rumors swirl about Kanye West’s whereabouts, he’s making himself known. Kanye West is back on X (formerly Twitter), and he’s sharing all of his thoughts. While West has been largely quiet about Diddy’s sex trafficking and racketeering trial, he did feel the need to speak out after Kid Cudi wrapped up his testimony. West isn’t happy.

West took to the social media platform to criticize Kid Cudi for testifying against Diddy. He has since deleted the post. While the upload is no longer available, Hot97 reports that the infamous producer wrote, “I wish Cudi hadn’t testified against Puff. We need not to be locked in white systems.” He went on to ask for prayers for the disgraced mogul and his family. Diddy is not married, but he does have seven children, ranging in age from 31 to just 2. Most of his children have been supporting him at trial, but they did return to California last week to celebrate D’Lila and Jessie Combs’ high school graduation.

Kanye West has made it clear that he supports Diddy despite the serious nature of his charges. Still, his criticism of Kid Cudi might be a little more personal than that. While West and the “Day and Nite” rapper used to work closely with each other, they’ve had two notable fallings out. The most recent drama began in 2022 when West dropped Kid Cudi because he was friends with Pete Davidson. Davidson was dating Kim Kardashian at the time. They haven’t been seen together since.

Despite West’s words, Cudi seems satisfied with how everything went. After the emotional testimony, Cudi thanked fans for their support.

Kanye West isn’t the only one who has criticized the testimony .

Social media followers have grown accustomed to Kanye West’s social media outbursts. The father of four has used social media, off and on, to make all sorts of controversial statements and claims. His thoughts on Kid Cudi weren’t all that surprising. What is surprising is that he’s not the only one in the entertainment industry willing to express those feelings.

Young Thug, whose legal name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, took to social media to call Cudi a “rat” for testifying against Diddy. Young Thug has had his own skirmishes with the law. Last year he was sentenced to 15 years of probation after he accepted a plea deal for gang-related charges. The rapper has since deleted the post.
