Kanye West Threatens to Seek Sole Custody Again
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s custody drama is escalating. West, who has spent months airing his every thought on social media, has taken time away from X (formerly Twitter) to consult with a lawyer. In a new letter, West threatens to seek sole physical and legal custody of the four children he shares with Kardashian if she doesn’t comply with several demands.
Kanye West sends a letter threatening to seek full custody
Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori, aren’t playing around regarding the custody of West’s four children. TMZ obtained a cease and desist letter sent from a lawyer connected to West to Kim Kardashian’s legal representation. The move comes after North West was featured in Kim Kardashian’s Met Gala coverage.
In the letter, West accuses his ex-wife of exploiting their children. He goes on to demand that she stop posting images of their children to social media and asks that she stop preventing him from parenting his children. In the paperwork, West threatens to seek full custody of the children if Kardashian doesn’t comply. Kardashian has yet to respond to the letter.
Why is Kanye West so angry with Kim Kardashian?
The letter comes just weeks after West took to X to claim Kardashian was withholding his children from him, insisting that he hadn’t seen his youngest son in 2025. In a separate interview, he said he regretted welcoming children with Kardashian in the first place. He further disparaged her by tweeting that he should have pursued Paris Hilton to have children with instead of Kardashian.
Much of West’s ire towards Kardashian appears to stem from Kardashian’s discomfort with their eldest child, North West, appearing in a song with the now-disgraced Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Combs is currently on trial for sex trafficking and racketeering. Most celebrities have distanced themselves from the rap mogul, but West has taken to social media to openly defend him.
