While some have speculated that Kanye West’s recent apology is a PR move, it has reportedly not worked on the Grammys. Last year, the artist, who now goes by Ye, claimed he was not invited to the awards ceremony. A source close to Ye claimed that the organizers of the Grammys will likely never invite him again. 

The rapper recently issued an apology for his antisemitic behavior

Ye has made headlines multiple times over the years for antisemitic behavior. In early 2025, he praised Adolph Hitler and sold merch with swastikas on it. In a recent full-page ad in The Wall Street Journal, Ye attributed his behavior to a four-month manic episode.

“I lost touch with reality. Things got worse the longer I ignored the problem,” he wrote. “I said and did things I deeply regret. Some of the people I love the most, I treated the worst. You endured fear, confusion, humiliation, and the exhaustion of trying to love someone who was, at times, unrecognizable. Looking back, I became detached from my true self.”

He explained that he focused so heavily on the swastika because it was “the most destructive symbol I could find.” Now, he denied being “a Nazi or antisemite.” Ye went on to describe the way his wife, Bianca Censori, encouraged him to get help. He added that he is now following “an effective regime of medication, therapy, exercise, and clean living.”

“I’m not asking for sympathy, or a free pass, though I aspire to earn your forgiveness,” he concluded. “I write today simply to ask for your patience and understanding as I find my way home.”

Kanye West is reportedly unwelcome at the Grammys

While Ye’s apology may be a step toward rehabilitating his public image, it will reportedly not land him a spot at the Grammys on Sunday.

“The Grammys will never give Kanye tickets again,” a source told the U.S. Sun. “He is not welcome.”

Still, the source acknowledged that people may still see him on the red carpet.

“It’s unlikely he will try to crash this year, but you never know,” the source said. “He is always unpredictable.”

Last year, Ye and Censori shocked people on the Grammys red carpet. Her outfit went beyond barely-there; it appeared that she was fully nude. They didn’t make it in the door.

“How could the Grammies [sic] nominate me Then not give me tickets,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “And then people mad when I go off.”

He said that he had to fight for a spot on the red carpet.

“I had to fight for 5 hours and call everyone I knew to get tickets to the Grammies [sic] They eventually gave me tickets but only for the red carpet,” he wrote. “At that point I hadn’t started the rampage.”

Raj Kapoor, the Grammys executive producer, explained that Ye didn’t receive tickets because he wasn’t presenting any awards. His own category was announced during the pre-televised portion of the show.
