Kathy Griffin, during a chat with The Cut, revealed that she used dating apps following her split from Bick in 2023 to find a new romance.

That isn’t surprising; everybody is on the apps. What Kathy Griffin admitted to next, however, is a big surprise. She told the outlet that she was thrown a curveball when she started chatting with a much younger man. She briefly dated a 23-year-old she had met on the apps, and she insists it was a good experience. Griffin, who is more than 40 years old than the man she was wooed by, claimed his age ensured he wasn’t as “misogynistic” as men in her age group. She said she knew it was doomed from the start, but admitted it was nice while it lasted. Griffin didn’t give any identifying details, like the app he met her on or whether he’s in the industry.

She dated younger men before, but not that young

While Griffin’s recent admission is shocking given the age difference, she has had a penchant for younger men for some time. In fact, her ex-husband, Randy Bick, is also significantly younger than her and was exceptionally young when they began dating, though not nearly as young as her recent love interest.

While Bick and Griffin were married from 2019 until 2024, they actually met way back in 2011. According to several sources, Bick was 44 when Griffin filed for divorce in December 2023, just shy of their four-year wedding anniversary. Now, 47, he is 18 years younger than Griffin and was 33 when they began dating. She was 51. Her first ex-husband, Matt Moline, was also younger than she was, but the age gap was slightly smaller. He was 10 years her junior. They wed in 2001 when Moline was 31. They divorced in 2006 after Griffin allegedly uncovered deception and stolen money.
