Katie Ginella and Teddi Mellencamp Blame Scheana Shay for the Explosive ‘RHOC’ Roofie Drama
On a recent podcast, Katie Ginella and Teddi Mellencamp said the Real Housewives of Orange County’s current drama might have an unexpected source: Vanderpump Rules’ Scheana Shay. Ginella has been in hot water this season after her cast mates accused her of speaking to a journalist. She reportedly told Kiki Monique that Tamra Judge drugged Gretchen Rossi at the party. Ginella has denied this. In a recent conversation with Mellencamp on her podcast, the women said they heard Shay was the one who spread the rumor.

On this season of RHOC, the women have accused Ginella of spreading the accusation that Judge drugged Rossi. She has repeatedly denied speaking about the incident and hinted that the story might have actually come from a surprising source. In an appearance on Mellencamp’s podcast Two T’s in a Pod, the women speculated that Shay could have spoken to Monique about the rumor. Mellencamp noted that Shay and Rossi were “very tight” and that Shay told Monique about the roofie story.
“I have heard that from multiple people, too,” Ginella said.
They used this rumor as proof that anyone could have spread the rumor to Monique.
“So I heard they are very tight,” Mellencamp said. “So there’s multiple sources that could have told Kiki.”
Scheana Shay denied Katie Ginella and Teddi Mellencamp’s speculation
Shay took to her own podcast to discuss what Ginella and Mellencamp said. In a conversation with Monique on her podcast Scheananigans with Scheana Shay, Shay denied spreading the rumor about Rossi.
“Why are you trying to defame me and [Kiki]?” she asked of Mellencamp. “This isn’t okay, it’s a flat-out lie, and 40-year-old Scheana is taking a page out of Cardi B’s book and I’m not going to settle if you try to take advantage of me. If you try to lie about me, I am going to fight back. I’m not letting people walk all over me anymore, and people need to start getting used to that.”
Kiki Monique has spoken out about the situation
Monique said she finds it unfair that Mellencamp shared this theory on her podcast. Shay was not a part of the conversation until the podcast aired.
“I have my theories on why Teddi put this completely false and baseless rumor into the universe, but unlike Teddi, I don’t just say anything for attention and clicks,” she told Us Weekly. “I hate that Scheana was needlessly dragged into this circus. She did not deserve this.”
She also said Ginella’s behavior has shocked her. Monique believes that by calling her a liar, she has put her journalistic reputation on the line.
“It’s really upsetting cause, honestly, in my mind, I thought I would be getting an apology from her for calling me a liar to all of these people watching a show. She knows I’m not a liar, but instead, she has chosen to double, triple down, continue to say that she didn’t tell me,” she said in a separate interview with Us Weekly. “And continue to make it seem like I’m a liar. And then she went so far as to block me. So now it’s like, I don’t know, it’s super hurtful and I’m over here trying to salvage my reputation.”
