Katy Perry Lookalike Camilla Araujo Transforms Into Singer With Identical Halloween Costume
While Katy Perry has been making headlines for her romance with Justin Trudeau, the singer’s doppelganger is going viral.
Social media influencer Camilla Araujo, who is often told she looks just like Perry, has decided to dress up for Halloween in one of the pop star’s most iconic looks.
Given that her followers point out the resemblance so much, Araujo decided to make a video of her transforming into one of Perry’s looks from her “California Girls” video.
In the music video, Perry donned several looks including a candy outfit.
“Back then, her style was very vintage-inspired, colorful, and fun,” Perry’s longtime stylist Johnny Wujek told NYLON at the time. “She was younger and we were just silly. We’re still silly, but it was sillier with the kitschy stuff.”
Araujo went all out with the costume, makeup, and even the purple hair wig.
“I spent $4000 on this custom piece,” Araujo said in the video. “The ones in stores were not giving what they needed to give.”
The clip racked up more than 35,000 likes in a matter of hours.
For those who don’t know, during her appearance on the Impaulsive podcast with Logan Paul, the host asked Araujo, “Has anyone ever told you you look like Katy Perry?”
“Yeah. All the time,” Araujo told Paul. She then explained that she’s even had encounters with fans who think she is the “Dark Horse” hitmaker.
Araujo recalled at the Formula 1 weekend in Miami, “Someone walked up, called me Katy.” And another time, she stepped out of a car and a fan greeted her with: “Katy Perry!”
