Just before 2025 came to an end, Camilla Araujo, who’s often told she looks just like Katy Perry, announced that she was marking “the end of an era” and leaving OnlyFans. Araujo was one of the site’s top-earning creators and made more than $20 million on the platform.

When she announced her departure, she shared, “That platform is where I made my first million dollars. It’s where I retired my parents. It’s where I bought my first home. I was able to help hundreds of people through it. I’m so incredibly grateful for how far that platform has taken me.”

Many wondered just why Araujo was stepping away from her OnlyFans gig. She promised that she would reveal more in the new year and teased, “I’m moving on to something that I actually feel is my purpose, and it’s going to actually fulfill my soul.”

On Jan. 1, 2026, Araujo launched a YouTube channel with her new Becoming Her documentary, which garnered over 600,000 views within its first 24 hours.

“Over the last three years, I’ve gained over 30 million followers and made over $20 million. And yeah, mostly through OnlyFans. But today, I quit. But the reason probably isn’t what you think,” Araujo says in the opening of the documentary.

She then explains, “I think people have this image that I grew up with the silver spoon and I grew up extremely wealthy. It’s actually the exact opposite. My parents used to share a one-bedroom apartment with four people and worked their asses off. They came to the United States to follow the American dream, and when they had me, they saw an opportunity. That was one of their biggest dreams for me: college. I was a regular college girl, living in a dorm, waking up, going to classes, and partying, but there was something in me that wanted more.”

The social media influencer also talked about how she went viral after starring as Player 067 in MrBeast’s 2021 Squid Game recreation video and capitalized on that moment, saying, “People had no idea what my name was. They only knew me as 067. So I chased that. I chased the virality. I chased the fame.”

Ahead of the documentary’s release, Araujo added, “I didn’t leave OnlyFans out of regret. I left because I grew. Becoming Her is my story, but it’s also proof of what persistence builds.”
