Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s fans were surprised when news broke that the two have been separated for months and filed for divorce after 19 years of marriage. Details are emerging about their split, with sources saying that the Big Little Lies actress had been hoping and trying to make things work but Urban didn’t want to.

Now, a viral video from one of the “Your Everything” singer‘s recent concerts is raising a lot of eyebrows because he changed the lyrics about Kidman and inserted the name of another woman.

Here’s more on that clip and what we know about the other lady Urban named in his song.

The lyric Urban changed in his song

Just days before news emerged about the end of Urban and Kidman’s marriage, the musician’s utility player, Maggie Baugh, shared a post on Instagram from a recent show in which Urban changed the lyric of a song he wrote years ago for Kidman.

During a duet of “The Fighter” with Baugh, Urban changed the line “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter,” and instead sang, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player.”

Baugh captioned the clip: “Did he just say that” with eye emojis.

Given the timing of the news about Urban’s marriage, Baugh has received backlash for her decision to keep the post up, as one person wrote, “Nicole deserves better,” and “Honey, this isn’t the flex you think it is.”

Another followed that up with: “It is so trashy to do this to a song inspired by his wife. It’s the ultimate ick.”

A fourth fumed, “Wow! This is gross. Nicole is the mother of your children. If not respect for their mother at least show respect to the girls! Way to show your girls how not to be treated, dad! Breakups happen but do it with grace, dignity, and respect my goodness.”

And another commenter added, “Why in the world would you post this? Have some class. Or maybe you don’t mind having none. And Keith? lost all respect. Sure couples separate but to make this that public. Shame on both of them.”

Looking ahead in 2025, Baugh looks forward to releasing her sophomore album, produced by herself, and hitting the road on her headlining “Entertainers Heart” world tour … Baugh will show the world what it means to be a true entertainer.”
