Ozzy Osbourne recently played his final concert, kicking off a flurry of rumors about his supposed death pact with wife Sharon Osbourne. In 2007, Sharon spoke about her decision to end her life if she ever got a neurological condition. Some social media users have shared this story with the added detail that the Osbournes planned to die together. Their daughter, Kelly, shut down these rumors.

Sharon Osbourne spoke about the plans she and Ozzy Osbourne had for the end of their lives

Years ago, Sharon revealed that both she and her husband had put a great deal of thought into the end of their lives. If they ever got a condition that impacted their brains, they wanted to die on their own terms.

“Ozzy and I have absolutely come to the same decision. We believe 100 per cent in euthanasia so have drawn up plans to go to the assisted suicide flat in Switzerland if we ever have an illness that affects our brains,” she told The Mirror. “If Ozzy or I ever got Alzheimer’s, that’s it — we’d be off. We gathered the kids around the kitchen table, told them our wishes and they’ve all agreed to go with it.”

She said they came to this decision after watching the progression of her own father’s Alzheimer’s.

“Some say the disease is hereditary so at the first sign I want to be put out of my misery,” she said. “Ozzy and I have asked our lawyers to make the appropriate arrangements. It’s taken away some of the fear of our ending and is a final gift of love to our kids.”

Kelly Osbourne shut down rumors about Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s death pact

After Osbourne played his final concert on July 5, many people began to speculate about his health. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019. Some social media users even claimed that he left the concert to go to Switzerland. Kelly took to her Instagram account to criticize people speculating about her father’s health.

“There’s this video going around on social media, and it’s supposed to be my dad, but it’s AI,” she said, per E! News. “It has a voice like my dad’s David Attenborough or something. And it starts out saying, ‘I don’t need a doctor to tell me that I’m going to die. I know I’m going to die.’ What the f*** is wrong with you people? Why would you spend your time making a video like this?”

She said that while Parkinson’s had affected his life, he was not near death.

“He’s not dying,” she said. “Yes, he has Parkinson’s, and yes, his mobility is completely different than it used to be, but he’s not dying. What is wrong with you?”

She also slammed the rumors of the suicide pact, which she said her mother had only said for attention.

“Stop making articles or posts about how you think my parents are having a suicide pact,” she said. “That was bulls*** my mom said to get attention one time. And my dad’s not dying. Stop.”

His family recently announced his death
