Kendra Caldwell’s Parents Launch a GoFundMe Campaign, Ignite Rumors of a Family Feud
Joseph Duggar’s child molestation scandal and Kendra Caldwell’s arrest on unrelated child endangerment charges appear to have uncovered a feud between Kendra and Joseph, and Kendra’s parents, Paul and Christina Caldwell. In the days since the arrests, the Caldwell family, who appear to have been living in a property owned by Joseph and Kendra, changed their Facebook profile to remove the couple and their kids, posted a slew of items for sale on Facebook Marketplace, and launched a GoFundMe campaign for moving and legal expenses. Something serious is brewing in Northwest Arkansas, and it appears Joseph and Kendra are feuding with her parents.
The Caldwell family has been living in a property owned by Joseph and Kendra for years
Paul and Christina Caldwell, Kendra Caldwell’s parents, briefly appeared on Counting On. Paul even served as the family’s pastor for some time, and lived in a property owned by Jim Bob Duggar. Around 2020, rumors swirled that there was drama between the Caldwells and the Duggars. The rumors began when the Caldwells vacated a property owned by Jim Bob. From there, they quietly slid into a house that Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell had recently built.
There wasn’t much to go on outside of the changing mailing address, though. Chatter about the alleged feud quieted down. Years later, it is evident that things are tense in Tontitown. While Kendra and Paul Caldwell were living in a home built by Joseph Duggar, they quietly announced their plans to move around the time of Joseph Duggar’s arrest. Reddit users reported on the social media updates. First, they began selling items on Facebook Marketplace, citing plans to move. Then, they launched a GoFundMe campaign; now they are accepting Venmo donations. A jailhouse call between Kendra and Joseph made it pretty clear that vacating the home the legally troubled Duggar couple owns is necessary.
They more recently launched a GoFundMe campaign
The Caldwell family is further highlighting the rumored family rift by turning to the public to raise funds for a move and legal fees. Over the holiday weekend, Paul and Christina Caldwell launched a GoFundMe campaign, explaining that their family needs funds for legal fees and a move to alternative, safe housing. While the pastor and his wife didn’t go into detail, family followers are theorizing that their sudden need is associated with Joseph Duggar’s arrest.
The campaign has since been pulled down. Online rumors suggest the family might not have been the ones to pull the plug on the fundraising attempt, though. It seems likely that the campaign was removed because it was too vague for the platform. Paul and Christina did not explain their legal needs or how they would use the funds. The vagueness may have violated the platform’s TOS. They have not relaunched the campaign, but seem to now be accepting donations via Venmo. It appears their housing needs remain critical. In a jailhouse call between Joseph Duggar and his wife, Kendra Caldwell, the topic of the house came up multiple times. In one call, Kendra tells her husband that her parents will be out of the house within a month. She slyly mentioned that people will hold them to their promise.
It is unclear if they have actually moved yet, or where their relationship with their eldest daughter stands.
