Kid Rock Once Said Being Married to Pamela Anderson ‘Sucked’
Pamela Anderson has been married five times to four different men, but one of her oddest romances was with Kid Rock. The Baywatch star was married to the rocker for just four months, with their split making headlines. In 2007, not long after he filed for divorce, Kid Rock said it “sucked” to be married to the Baywatch beauty. They’ve both talked about how unfortunate the marriage was in the years since.

Sure, Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock were not married very long. Still, the union was apparently intense enough for Kid Rock to have very definitive feelings on matrimony. The rocker was clearly still deeply bothered by the end of his marriage, even after he filed for divorce, evidenced by an altercation with Tommy Lee and his response to questions about Pamela Anderson.
During a 2007 interview with Blender, Kid Rock insisted that “Getting married is the most fun you can have in life. Being married sucks.” He did not explicitly mention Pamela Anderson by name. Still, she is, to this day, the only woman he’s ever been married to, regardless of how short-lived it was.
Following his split from Anderson, Kid Rock shied away from marriage, but not commitment. The rocker met Audrey Berry after finalizing his divorce, and they dated for years before announcing their engagement in 2017. They never made it down the aisle, though. The duo ended their seven-year engagement in early 2025.
Anderson reconnected with Tommy Lee following the end of her marriage to Kid Rock. She then moved on to Rick Saloman. They married twice before parting for good. She later married Dan Hayhurst. They finalized their divorce in 2022. According to Us Weekly, Anderson most recently had a brief romance with Liam Neeson. She confirmed they had split recently, though.
The former flames have never spoken to each other again
Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock’s short-lived marriage wasn’t the result of a whirlwind romance; the pair actually dated on and off for several years before deciding to tie the knot. They were engaged more than once, too. Still, when you know a relationship is over, you know it is over. Since their divorce, the couple has not spoken to each other at all, and both are fine with that.
Anderson and Kid Rock have both spoken about each other, though. Anderson most recently opened up about the relationship during her press tour for her memoir, Love, Pamela. During an appearance on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, Anderson admitted she knew the marriage to Kid Rock wasn’t going to work out right away. She told Stern that he was a mess and that she was bringing people into her life in hopes of rebuilding her family unit. Kid Rock has said that Anderson’s disapproval of his family, his hatred for California, and arguments about money ultimately led to their split.
