Kiki Monique Broke Her Silence on Katie Ginella’s ‘Super Hurtful’ Treatment of Her
On this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, journalist Kiki Monique has found herself at the center of the drama because of a conversation she had with Katie Ginella. After Ginella told her that Gretchen Rossi believed Tamra Judge roofied her in season four, Monique looked into the rumors for herself. This blew up in Ginella’s face when the other Housewives confronted her about it. Monique said that Ginella’s response unfairly branded her as a liar.
Katie Ginella landed in hot water after Tamra Judge learned she talked to Kiki Monique
During a season four episode of RHOC, Judge spoke about her desire to get Rossi “naked wasted.” Ginella said that during a dinner with Rossi years later, the latter said she had to go to the hospital after the party. There, she said, doctors found drugs in her system.
After season 18 of RHOC, Ginella got lunch with Monique. She’d recently been a guest on her podcast. Monique told Us Weekly that Ginella brought up the “naked wasted” night. She said something along the lines of, “Did you know that at that [Naked Wasted dinner], that afterward [Gretchen] had to go to the hospital and they found drugs in her system?”
Monique said she looked into the rumor herself. After speaking to some journalist friends, discovered that there was no truth to it. Later, though, she learned that one of her friends brought the rumor to Judge’s attention. It became a major point of contention on the show.
“And I’m freaking out cause, like, I don’t want to be involved in this,” Monique said. “The whole point was to not have this story be brought, you know, to camera, and now it’s kind of the opposite has happened.”

On the show, Ginella repeatedly denied talking about this with Monique. The journalist said this has been frustrating to her because she feels Ginella is putting her reputation at risk.
“[Katie] figured I could just be collateral damage because who was going to believe me, especially if I keep getting labeled a blogger …[which] in this Bravo world, it’s a very negative thing.”
She said she assumed Ginella was “throwing [her] under the bus” with the other women because she didn’t see her as “valuable.” She has spoken out about her conversation with Ginella because she doesn’t want people to view her as dishonest.
“It’s really upsetting cause, honestly, in my mind, I thought I would be getting an apology from her for calling me a liar to all of these people watching a show. She knows I’m not a liar, but instead, she has chosen to double, triple down, continue to say that she didn’t tell me,” she said. “And continue to make it seem like I’m a liar. And then she went so far as to block me. So now it’s like, I don’t know, it’s super hurtful and I’m over here trying to salvage my reputation.”
She said the ‘RHOC’ star did not ask her to spread the rumor
Monique is unhappy with Ginella right now. Still, she did set the record straight on one element of the rumors. She emphatically denied that Ginella asked her to spread the rumor about Rossi and Judge.
“[T]hat’s the one thing I do also want to clear up,” she said. “She never came to me and said, ‘I want you to take this information and do something with it.’ And so, I don’t like that that’s being told because, you know, even though she’s called me a liar, she did not do that.”
Monique recently appeared in an episode of RHOC to tell her side of the story to Rossi and Gina Kirschenheiter.
