Kim Kardashian Shows up for Paris Jewelry Robbery Trial in More Than $7 Million Worth of Diamonds
Kim Kardashian‘s Paris robbery trial against a group of 10 suspects, known as the “Grandpa gang,” has continued with her emotional testimony.
It’s believed that in 2016, while the SKIMS founder was in the City of Lights for Paris Fashion Week, the assailants decided to rob her after seeing a large diamond ring from her ex-husband, Kanye West, which Kardashian showed her followers via social media. Some of the accused are in their 60s and 70s and spoke in court, claiming they are “retired” now.
Kardashian arrived to court on May 13 to testify about the $6 million in jewels stolen from her while wearing over $7 million worth of diamonds. While some felt that might have been a lapse in judgment, others opined that Kardashian planned it perfectly to prove she’s not afraid to flaunt her expensive jewelry in the very place where robbers stole jewels from her.

The diamond experts at the jewelry retailer Steven Stone shared the details of each piece and how much they’re worth.
“Given the high-profile robbery she endured, it’s understandable that many are speculating whether Kim’s latest jewellery look is the real deal,” Zach Stone told Showbiz Cheat Sheet. “With lab-grown diamonds now virtually indistinguishable from natural ones, it’s nearly impossible to tell without specialist equipment capable of detecting minute differences in how the stones were formed.
“One standout piece is her anklet, which appears to be the sentimental design gifted by her daughter, North, for Mother’s Day. It features the birthstones of her four children, set with round-cut diamonds and delicately accented with a single pearl, a pear-cut garnet, a pear-cut zircon, and an emerald-cut emerald. I’d estimated it to be worth around $8,000.”
Stone continued: “If genuine, her earrings could fetch up to $50,000. Though it was her necklace that truly stole the spotlight. Dazzling on arrival, it seems to showcase a series of graduated pear-cut and marquise-cut stones arranged in a symmetrical pattern, boasting an estimated value of approximately $3.5 million.
“On her right hand, Kim could be seen sporting a massive ring. While the exact cut is hard to confirm, the diamond appears to be at least 20 carats, set in a solitaire design that further emphasises its remarkable size. Given these details, it’s safe to assume the ring carries a hefty price tag — my estimate would be around $3.5 million.”
What Kardashian said happened that night in her Paris hotel room
Over the years, Kardashian has talked about what she said happened to her that night in her Paris hotel room, and on May 13 it was her turn to tell the court what happened.
According to the reality TV star, once she realized what was going on, she said a silent prayer for her sister, her best friend, and her family. She testified that the men who barged into her room threw her on the bed, zip-tied her hands, and pulled a gun on her.
“I was certain that was the moment that he was going to rape me,” she told the Paris court. “I absolutely did think I was going to die.”
She remembered trying to plead with them, saying: “I have babies. I have to make it home. They can take everything. I just have to make it home.”
Kardashian recalled that she was then carried into the bathroom. One man taped her mouth and she was told she’d be OK if she stayed quiet.
