Kim Kardashian Under Fire After Post Exposes ‘Unnecessary’ Behavior and ‘Wastefulness’
It’s no secret that the Kardashian-Jenner clan’s preferred method of transportation is hopping on private jets.
Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have their own jets, while Mama Kris, Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner frequently charter luxury private planes. Kim recently drew the ire of some though after a Reddit post tracking celebrity jets showed her jet landing after a nine-minute flight.
Commenters were stunned at the short flight time and pointed to the major impact using the jet for that little amount of time has on the environment.
“9 min flight? Wild if you use the bathroom and the plane is landing when you’re done,” one user wrote.
Another added, “She really didn’t want to deal with downtown LA traffic. This is insane. Also, way unnecessary.”
And a third pointed out that the toll on the environment amounted to “84 gallons (317 liters). 561 lbs (254 kg) of jet fuel used. $477 cost of fuel. 0.883 tons of CO2 emissions.”
Several months back, another Reddit post revealed that Kim’s sister, Kylie, extended her mode of transportation to her beau Timothée Chalamet by keeping her plane on standby for him while he was filming in Europe in case he wanted to get somewhere fast.
At the time, Reddit users commented, “HOW EMBARRASSING. So helpful, getting the jet access,” and “100% embarrassing for both,” and “It’s the same guy who starred in a movie about ecological collapse in Don’t Look Up and Dune, where ecology is also a central theme. He has no shame, she has no pride — it’s a match made in heaven.”
