Kim and Khloé Kardashian Face Backlash for Promoting Illegal Procedures They Had Done in Mexico
The Kardashian siblings have been in the public eye for so many years now that being criticized via social media is nothing new for them. But this time, fans aren’t happy with Khloé and Kim Kardashian for promoting something that’s actually illegal in the United States.
In August, the sisters shared similar Instagram posts gushing over the muse stem cell treatment they received in Mexico. Kim said that she learned about stem cell therapy after tearing her shoulder while lifting weights. She explained that after getting the treatment, she “regained full range of motion” and her shoulder now feels “completely normal” again. The SKIMS founder decided to have some “chronic back pain” addressed as well and called that a “game-changer.”
Khloé also had muse stem cell treatment for inflammation and overall wellness, and is a big fan of it now.
The reason the ladies had to travel to Mexico for the procedure is because it’s not legal in the U.S. It’s not exactly affordable either, and that wasn’t lost on followers who read their posts.
One wrote, “As a regular person, I tore my shoulder two years ago, and I still have problems. Why are you selling us something we can’t afford?” while another said: “We are barely trying to afford groceries.”
A third person chimed in, “The privilege is insane.”
Another added: “Me just living with the pain because I ain’t a millionaire.”
A fifth replied: “So you’re saying you traveled out of country to get the healthcare you needed … sigh.”
And a sixth remarked, “I used to love them [Kardashians], but they have proven to be so out of touch and blind to their audience’s class. Using stem cells to recover from a workout is the most egregious thing ever.”
