Kim Zolciak has found herself in the news once again. While the former Bravo star made headlines last week when she agreed to appear in court over her beau’s divorce, the latest headlines about Kim Zolciak are all about her own contentious split. A judge has ruled against Zolciak in a recent custody hearing, ordering the TV personality to get to work in therapy if she wants to see her kids.

Kim Zolciak is ordered to complete therapy before she can see her children

Kim Zolciak’s contentious custody battle with Kroy Biermann just got a little bit more intense. TMZ was the first to report that Zolciak has been ordered by a family court judge to stay away from her four minor children until she completes four mandated therapy sessions. The Georgia judge is not playing around this time, it seems.

According to the outlet, the decision came just a week after Kroy Biermann filed for full custody of the four minor children he shares with Zolciak. Biermann claims Zolciak has been spending time out of the country and has had limited contact with her four minor children. The former NFL star also noted that Zolciak had failed to complete her court-ordered therapy session. While the judge didn’t grant Biermann full custody, an order was issued for Zolciak to complete the sessions before interacting with the kids. They will reside with Biermann until Zolciak proves she’s done the work. That means she won’t be interacting with the kids until at least April 13.

Kroy Biermann and Kim Zolciak split up way back in 2023, but their divorce appears no closer to being finalized. There is no chance of reconciliation, though. The former flames seem to really despise each other.

How many kids does the former couple have?

Kim Zolciak has six children, though the judge’s orders apply only to four of them. Her eldest children, Brielle and Ariana, are adults living independently. Brielle currently resides in Atlanta with her fiancé, Billy Seidl. Ariana Biermann is currently living in New York City. She recently navigated a very public split from Hudson McLeroy.

While Zolciak brought her eldest children into her marriage from previous relationships, they were adopted by Kroy Biermann more than a decade ago. Biermann adopted both girls in 2013, shortly after marrying Zolciak. Ariana has noted that maintaining contact with Kroy is complicated due to the divorce. Brielle feels differently, maintaining a bond with her adoptive father despite the split.

The four children that Biermann and Zolciak welcomed during their marriage are still all minors. Kroy Jr. was born in 2011, followed by Kash the following year. In 2013, twins, Kaia and Kane, completed the family. Prior to the order, Biermann and Zolciak shared joint custody of the kids.

Zolciak has not issued a public statement since the court order. She did, however, issue a statement after her estranged husband sought full custody. According to TMZ, Zolciak said Biermann’s claims were false and were an attempt to defame her character. She noted she was out of the country for work, but maintained contact with the children.
