After 19 months, Prince Harry and King Charles had a face-to-face meeting at the monarch’s London residence. The father and son met for a little under an hour and had tea together. While it’s not clear if this means both parties have reconciled, it’s at least a positive step towards that.

But, the meeting was only granted after Harry reportedly agreed to one condition the Palace had.

According to a source who spoke to the Daily Mail, Palace officials were clear that they did not want any details of what was discussed during the meeting leaked and shared with the public.

“[Harry] told his father he won’t be giving any interviews about it and his team has been instructed not to brief journalists about what was said,” the source explained. “There’s a long way to go before Harry can earn his family’s trust, but he’s given some assurances.”

The Duke of Sussex attended an Invictus reception later that evening and was asked by a reporter about his father, to which Harry replied: “Yes, he’s great, thank you.”

Following his U.K. trip, the prince traveled to Poland and then to Ukraine, telling The Telegraph: “I had to check with my wife and the British government to make sure it was OK.”
