King Charles Believed to Have Backed Prince Harry and Meghan’s ‘Celebrity Royal Tour’ in Jordan
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s two-day visit to Jordan didn’t come without some controversy. They were invited by the Director-General of the World Health Organisation, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and the trip highlighted the humanitarian efforts in the country. However, some have insisted that since Meghan and Harry are no longer working royals and just private citizens now, this “tour” was no more than a trip to the country for two tourists.
But someone who used to work for the king is weighing in on that and begs to differ and believes that the duke and duchess actually had the monarch’s “backing” to go on this trip.

King Charles’ former staffer is convinced the monarch ‘backed’ the Sussexes’ ‘tour’
Grant Harrold was King Charles’ butler for seven years. During his time working for the now-monarch, Harrold’s duties included those of valet, housekeeper, house manager, and driver. He also looked after Prince William, Kate, and Prince Harry whenever they stayed at Highgrove House.
Harrold says that not only was the Palace informed of Harry and Meghan’s trip, but he thinks they actually had the “backing” of King Charles to undertake a visit to the Middle East.
Speaking on behalf of OLBG, the former royal butler told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “It looks like it is a royal tour, but not in the traditional name of a royal tour, as it isn’t in the name of the king or the government. So it’s more of a ‘celebrity royal tour.’ I truly believe that because of the dialogue that Prince Harry has with his father, this tour was discussed ahead of time.
“Prince William was in the Middle East recently as well, so they are obviously keen to build ties. The king has a close relationship with royal families in the Middle East, so they are keen to build these relationships. But, as far as this tour from Harry and Meghan goes, I’m sure the king is aware of it, and they have his backing to visit.”
Expert Harry and Meghan’s trip demonstrated the strength of their relationship

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “At first glance, it seems Meghan is leading the dynamic as her hand is placed before Harry’s, which is normally a power gesture. But they are very symmetrical in the way they are holding hands, which suggests there is a strong balance in their relationship. The way Meghan’s other hand is placed on Harry’s arm is a grounding and calming gesture. She is really his rock and is subconsciously trying to give him confidence and reassure him.
“No matter how often you do these public engagements, there is still an element of nerves and she can clearly sense that from Harry. They really are such a strong couple and seem to be getting stronger by the day. Their trip to Jordan really demonstrates that.”
