King Charles and David Beckham Send Message to Prince Harry Days After the Sussexes Reported Summit With Brooklyn Beckham
Just days after it was reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a “secret summit” with David and Victoria Beckham‘s oldest son, Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz, King Charles met with the former soccer star at a flower show in London. The two men were seen chatting and some think what their conversation was about was as a message to the Duke of Sussex and David’s son.
Harry and Brooklyn are both locked in family feuds and estranged from their fathers. After years of bashing the monarchy, Harry now claims he wants to reconcile with his father but King Charles isn’t taking his calls. Meanwhile, Brooklyn is not speaking to his parents and didn’t bother to attend his dad’s recent 50th birthday party.
Amid the reports that Harry and Brooklyn could develop a friendship over what they have in common, the king made it known that he and David already have a friendship by casually asking Brooklyn’s dad if he recieved the birthday gift he sent, to which David replied: “It was incredible, thank you. It was very kind.”

Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert with a degree in psychology. He previously worked as a police officer and used his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and TV as a consultant and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.” He spoke about the “trust” and “rapport” between the monarch and the former soccer star.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet: “These are some great pictures that show and reveal a great deal about the dynamic and relationship between David and Charles. There’s a shot of David and Charles shaking hands. Handshakes are really significant when it comes to finding out about people’s relationships with each other.
“The position of the hands is important, because when the hands are side by side, it means mutual trust and rapport. Whereas, for example, if someone has their hand on top of the other person’s, that would be a power gesture, where they would perceive themselves to be more powerful in that situation. This isn’t the case with David and Charles. The fact that it’s a mutual and equal handshake means there is genuine trust and rapport.”

Stanton also pointed out exactly how to tell that David and the king have a good friendship.
He said: “When David and Charles were stood talking, they adopted the same sort of posture. They’re matching and mirroring each other, so this is another indication as to the level of relationship that they’ve developed over time.
“Another key one for me is their facial expressions. There’s some great shots, especially when King Charles is really laughing and sharing a joke with David. They’ve both adopted the same facial expressions — you can see the crow’s feet and laugh lines at the side of their eyes. Both the King and David were laughing their heads off, almost in a mischievous way. The sides of their eyes are really crinkled up and their faces are completely engaged.”
Stanton added, “I also noticed Charles tapped David on his left elbow at one point. It’s not very common for members of the royal family to do that. It’s an extremely tactile gesture to come from Charles. Certainly, for the king, he’s got a genuine relationship and considers David to be a good friend. The touching of the elbow really indicates to me that there’s a genuine companionship, rapport, and trust. It’s only a very quick gesture, but it signifies so much in body language. It’s this physical connection that denotes the fact that they’re really good friends.”
