King Charles is coming to America!

The British monarch will reportedly visit the States for the first time since 2018, when he represented Queen Elizabeth II at George H. W. Bush’s funeral.

According to multiple reports, the king will make the trip in April 2026, as long as his health allows him to travel. He is still undergoing treatment following his cancer diagnosis in 2024.

There are several events taking place in the U.S. to mark the country’s 250th anniversary and King Charles’ visit will be a “major moment” ahead of Independence Day celebrations.

While Buckingham Palace has yet to confirm the trip, sources in Washington D.C. and London have told The Sun that negotiations are still taking place as U.S. President Donald Trump is eager to host King Charles for a State Visit.

News of the visit comes after the royals hosted the POTUS and First Lady Melania Trump when they were in the U.K. last September. Prince William and the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton), who were on hand to welcome the president and his wife to Windsor, will not travel to the U.S. with the king. Only Queen Camilla is expected to accompany her husband on the visit.

A White House official close to the Trumps previously shared with The Telegraph that they planned to host the royals in the U.S., saying, “It was a really fantastic trip. The British know how to do this perfectly. They set the bar high for their trip to see us.”
