Kris Jenner Had All Her Single Daughters Invited to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s Wedding so They Could Meet ‘Rich Significant Others’
Tons of celebrities descended on Venice, Italy recently to attend Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ wedding to Lauren Sánchez. And because you can’t have a party filled with rich and famous people without having members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan on hand Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Khloé Kardashian were all there.
But now, there are reports that initially only Kris and Kim were invited, that is until the momager talked to Sánchez about inviting her other daughters for one specific reason.
Kris got her single daughters invited to the wedding to mingle with some well-off men
It makes sense that Kim made the guestlist because she and Sánchez have become pretty friendly over the years as they bonded over fashion.
The SKIMS co-founder previously said: “Lauren and I are always sending DMs building each other up. Every time there’s a look that we like, she’ll say, ‘WOW,’ or, ‘OMG you look amazing.’ She’s such a girl’s girl.”
However, a source told Page Six that “Lauren barely knows [Khloé, Kendall and Kylie] outside of simple pleasantries.”
So why were they at her wedding? Well according to the insider, the original guestlist only included Kim and her mom, saying: “Originally, the quintet was going to be a duo of just Kim [Kardashian] and Kris.”
But plans changed when Kris decided to talk to Lauren about bringing a plus 3.
“Mama Kris asked Lauren if she could bring the other three when they were in Paris for the bachelorette party,” the source explained referencing Khloé, Kylie, and Kendall. And the reason for her push to score her other daughters an invite is because she was hoping they would meet “rich and famous significant others” at the wedding.
The insider further claimed this isn’t the first time the momager has done something like this as she “often asks big events about” an invitation for the whole family.
Khloé and Kim used the wedding to self-promote themselves
Even though the source insists that Khloé wasn’t initially invited, she made the most of her time in Venice as many fans said she was the best-dressed star there. And an expert said that she and Kim also used the event as a platform to “self-promote” themselves.
Speaking to The Mirror U.S., body language expert Judi James opined, “These sisters performed very much like 20-year-old bridesmaids: single, playful and still as selfie/self-obsessed as any teenager.”
James added that when they struck poses for photos on a water taxi using “the classic duck-face pout and the inevitable over-stretched V-sign finger signals … Happily obsessed with their own image, their body language was attention-seeking as they showed no desire snap out of reality TV/social media star mode and into something a little more ‘privacy-seeking A-lister’ like [Leonardo] DiCaprio’s cap-covered appearance.
“When the real corsetry, sequins and boas came out on the actual wedding day they stepped cautiously into their water taxi before immediately snapping into yet another pose for the cameras. The two women were on-brand throughout, making the event look like another opportunity to self-promote.”
Showbiz Cheat Sheet acknowledges that conditions and cultures can impact body language and is sensitive to all backgrounds.
