Kristin Davis, beloved for her work on Sex and the City, just admitted that she wasn’t always as “Pollyanna” as her iconic character, Charlotte York. While Davis has made a name for herself in the industry for being friendly on set, she recently revealed she wasn’t nearly as nice to Bridget Moynahan as she should have been. She insists it was all her character’s fault, though. Davis did issue an apology, though, even if it did take years to come.

Kristin Davis reveals that she let her character impact how she acted in real life

Kristin Davis is willing to hand out apologies, even if they are 30 years in the making. During an October 2025 episode of Are You A Charlotte?, Davis welcomed former Sex and the City guest star, Bridget Moynahan, to sit and talk about the series. Before the two actors really got down to it, Davis insisted that there was something she felt bad about.

Davis told Moynahan that she’s always felt bad that she wasn’t more welcoming to her when she first appeared on the Sex and the City set. The actor, best known for playing Charlotte York, admitted she lets the character she is playing take over a bit and noted she felt a bit of animosity toward Moynahan because of the character she portrayed in the hit HBO series.

Bridget Moynahan took on the role of Natasha, the younger woman who married Mr. Big. Davis claims her character’s loyalty toward Carrie Bradshaw altered how she treated Moynahan. However, she insisted things were different when they weren’t working together.

There are no hard feelings

While Bridget Moynahan clearly felt the icy vibe Davis was throwing out there, she insists it is all water under the bridge. She told the iconic actor that it’s OK “now” and that she needn’t worry about it. Still, the wording suggests that Moynahan may have felt a bit put out by Davis’ early interaction with her. At the very least, the cool vibes were noticed.

Moynahan was rather young when she joined the cast of Sex and the City in a recurring role. It was also her very first acting role after spending most of her time in modeling. It’s easy to imagine the now-seasoned actor feeling intimidated walking onto the set for the first time, especially if she was met with less-than-friendly interactions with the main cast.

Bridget Moynahan first appeared as Natasha Naginsky in season 2. She reprised the role again in seasons 3 and 4 of the original series. Moynahan also joined the cast for the HBO Max reboot, And Just Like That… She only appeared in one reboot episode, though. HBO Max canceled the reboot after three lackluster seasons, though fans who initially lambasted the revival now miss it.
