Lakers Star Luka Doncic Sends Message to Ex-Fiancée as Bitter Legal Battle Continues
Luka Dončić is going through a messy legal battle with his ex-Fiancée, Anamaria Goltes. They ended their engagement in early March and now they’re in an ugly custody war over their two young daughters, Gabriela and Olivia.
Goltes reportedly returned to Slovenia with their children after the split and filed for child support in California, while Dončić filed his own legal paperwork in Slovenia to assert his right to custody.
When announcing their breakup, Dončić told ESPN, “I love my daughters more than anything and I’ve been doing everything I can for them to be with me in the U.S. during the season. But that hasn’t been possible, so I recently made the tough decision to end my engagement. Everything I do is for my daughters’ happiness and I will always fight to be with them and give them the best life I can.”
And he wasn’t kidding about putting up a fight, which is why he just hired one of the best and most high-profile celebrity divorce attorneys in the world. The New York Post reported that the point guard hired Laura Wasser to represent him.
“Los Angeles County court records show the Lakers superstar recently acquired the services of Laura Wasser, who’s developed such a knack for helping celebrities break up that she’s actually gained the nickname ‘Disso Queen,’” the publication noted.
Some of Wasser’s other famous clients include Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, and Angelina Jolie.
“She also recently represented Post Malone and helped the musician score a legal victory in his child custody case with his ex-fiancee,” the outlet added.
