It has been more than 10 years since Lamar Odom nearly died from an overdose inside a brothel in Nevada. It is clear that Sin City might just be too much of a temptation for the former NBA star. While Odom hasn’t found himself in a precarious medical position during his most recent visit, he has some legal issues he needs to clear up now. The retired star, who was famously married to Khloé Kardashian, was booked on a DUI this weekend.

Lamar Odom arrested in Las Vegas

Lamar Odom will face some legal issues in Las Vegas in the coming months. The 6’10 former power forward was just booked for driving under the influence. TMZ broke the story. Odom was arrested not far from the Las Vegas strip in the early morning hours of January 17. It looks like Odom was initially stopped for speeding and failing to maintain a lane before he was slapped with a DUI charge. In addition to a DUI, he was issued two driving tickets.

Odom is no stranger to DUIs. This is his second. He was also arrested back in 2013 for driving under the influence. That arrest took place in California. According to previous reports, Odom was arrested after an officer observed him driving suspiciously and swerving in the San Fernando Valley. He failed a field sobriety test. Odom was booked into Van Nuys Jail, where he was released later the same day. The NBA veteran pleaded no-contest and was placed on probation. He also had to take a class and pay court fees.

He nearly died in Las Vegas

Two years after his Los Angeles DUI arrest, the basketball star almost died while partying in Las Vegas. Odom was found unresponsive in a brothel, where he had spent days with several escorts. After ingesting herbal supplements, Odom allegedly used cocaine, which led to a near-fatal overdose. He was taken from the brothel to an area hospital, where he spent weeks on life support.
