Lexi Young Calls Justin Glaze a Liar After He Tried to Justify His ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Decision
Bachelor in Paradise may only be two weeks into its 10th season, but there has been plenty of drama already. Justin Glaze shocked fans and other contestants when he tossed aside a new love interest to act “selflessly” for an old one. Now, Glaze is speaking out on what he says really led to his decision to save his ex and nix a possible love connection. His scorned potential love, Lexi Young, insists Glaze didn’t just betray her, but that he is a liar, too.
[SPOILER ALERT: Spoilers ahead for the first and second rose ceremonies in Bachelor in Paradise Season 10.]
Justin Glaze says he dumped Lexi Young because she wasn’t actually interested in him
Justin Glaze prepared an entire speech explaining why he was giving his rose to Susie Evans. He said his motivation was pure and selfless, insisting he felt that Evans deserved the chance to possibly find love. Evans, for her part, refused the rose and walked off. While Glaze spun a tale of selflessness, there might be more to the story. At least that’s what he’s saying now that the episode has aired. While Glaze insists he felt bad for how things happened, he doesn’t regret the decision because of things he learned behind the scenes.
Glaze appeared on Bachelor Happy Hour after the shocking cliffhanger and claimed he ultimately opted to give his rose to Evans because he couldn’t get a “true pulse” on how Lexi Young felt about him. He later took to Instagram to claim that he had heard in passing that Young wasn’t interested in dating anyone who didn’t live in her region. He also alleged that Lexi didn’t reciprocate his interest in her. Glaze admitted they had not spoken since leaving the island, despite his attempts to reach out.
Lexi Young is speaking out on social media
While Lexi Young had no interest in having a one-on-one conversation after the show with Glaze, she also has no intention of letting him twist her words or make up stories to justify what he did during Bachelor in Paradise. After Glaze claimed Young’s wants and desires led to his decision not to give her a rose, she popped up on Instagram to lambast him for his version of events.
Young called Glaze out, claiming what he was saying was untrue and that she would not allow him to rewrite her story. Young said Glaze failed to communicate his feelings to her properly. She also suggested he should focus on self-growth so he doesn’t repeat the same behavior in the future. Glaze shot back, once again claiming he tried to speak to her after the show. She admitted she was not interested in further discussion.
Where do Justin Glaze and Susie Evans stand?
Justin Glaze and Susie Evans dated briefly in 2024, announcing their relationship in January and later acknowledging their split in August. Since then, their paths haven’t crossed much until Bachelor in Paradise. Despite trying to give a rose to Evans so she could potentially explore more options, Glaze insists he was not trying to rekindle the romance.
We aren’t so sure we believe him. Still, it doesn’t seem like the former flames are together, at least right now. Anything could still happen, though. Still, it would likely take some convincing. Evans looked almost horrified by Glaze’s odd rose ceremony twist.
